Best convo about Super Bowl 2012 spots
Me: teleflora. not amazing. but so simple and spot on.
Gay Friend: Girl had her Loubiton's. I think that would work better for a woman than flowers
Me: uh. no straight guy is going to notice louboutins over adriana lima in lingerie.
Gay Friend: Lol! Who's Adriana Lima?
Summer Nights
This is all sorts of embarrassing to admit, but I’m watching the John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John version of Grease on VH1 and it’s so refreshing to watch this after watching Glee’s rendition of “Summer Nights” the other week.
My life these days
Somehow my days have become 60% Quirky, 25% sleep, 10% apartment hunting and 5% communicating with and/or seeing friends. This is perhaps extremely evident through this Tumblr this last month.

2012
Somber start to the new year. Only day 2 of 2012 and already time for reflection and assessment.
2012 Resolutions
Trying to keep these realistic…
Be nicer to my parents
See/talk to my niece(s) more often
Eat healthier
Exercise more regularly
Work harder while at work
But then it seems so vague. This kind of list would never fly at work. Need some KPIs for some accountability…

Ode to my Integra
Today I parted ways with my trusty white, 2-door Acura Integra LS.
I’ve had this car since March 18, 1995. She was a generous gift from my parents, shortly after I turned 16 (yes I know, privileged). And I’ve proudly owned this car since.
She was my car through my teen years while at Walnut High. I remember being so proud to get the car I wanted, and a stick (I felt so cool)!...
The Platt 101: New York City’s Best Restaurants →
Since I eat out all the time, and since I love food, I might as well make a bucket list of restaurants. Figured Adam Platt’s new top 101 list would be a good reference and starting point.
I’ve reviewed the entire list and can proudly state that I’ve dined at 40 of these establishments, with 61 more to go. The goal for 2012 is to hit up 15-20 of these establishments that I...

The Town of the Queen of the Angels
I learned something interesting this evening. Apparently LA has a full name that is not Los Angeles.
When we googled it, it came back with “El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora La Reina de Los Angeles de Porciuncula” (The Town of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels of the ((River)) Porciuncula). But upon further googling, there is another post that claims that scholars have determined from...

That’s pretty cool.
Broken window still
That window’s still broken and still not fixed. I made a half-assed attempt at taping up the hole this morning. I got duct tape, which definitely sticks better. But it was still raining out so the car was still relatively wet…. I only managed to loosely tape up 3 sides.
It seems to be windy now as well. So, rain and wind. Can’t be good for the car.
Broken window
Walked past my car this morning and found a broken rear quarter window on the passenger side. Damn it.
Called my insurance company and the cost to replace is below my $500 deductible. Unfortunately it’s just below my $500 deductible and coming in at $475. I’m pretty sure it won’t be worth the cost to replace, when my car will be 17 years old this coming March (and I have the...
